Festival visual design dazzles

Christmas comes but once a year, and for most of that year at St. Olaf people are making elaborate plans for the festival for which St. Olaf is so famous. It is a large production, involving six conductors, five choirs and the St. Olaf Orchestra. Before the show can begin, however, the sets and programs must be designed.

Senior 'Seeds' about to sprout

A sense of community, uniting to present a whole, choosing between two sides of one’s personality, finding support systems in another person: These are all ideas behind the movement designed by or for three St. Olaf senior dance majors for their upcoming performance, “Twisted Seeds,” to be performed Dec. 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. in Kelsey Theatre.

'Bat Boy' sighting

The tabloids have spawned a musical. No, it isn’t “Nick and Jessica’s Divorce Adventure,” it is a spectacle far more unlikely: “Bat Boy the Musical.” Originating in London and based on a World News Weekly headline, “Bat Boy” has arrived at St. Olaf, courtesy of seniors Max Wojtanowicz and Kathryn Skare.
