Current Oles weren’t the only ones celebrating Homecoming this past weekend. Alumni from years past came back to the Hill to rejoin friends and classmates for an activity-filled weekend.

The class of 2003 continued the "0-Year Reunion" tradition. Jayme Andrews ‘03 and Lindsey Nodgaard ‘03 planned a get-together Friday night at William’s Pub and Peanut Bar in Minneapolis. Saturday night, the class of ’03 gathered at the Rueb Pool Room in Northfield.

The class of 1998 met at O’Gara’s Shamrock Room and Brew Pub for their five-year reunion Friday night. Saturday afternoon, they met for a party in the Pause, which was under construction while they were students. On their website, the ’98 Reunion Planning Committee said, "The Pause was in many locations during our four years at St. Olaf, and we put up with a lot of construction and hassle. Here’s our chance to finally use the new Pause." The planning committee included Jean Edhlund ’98, Dave Halvorson ’98 and Heather (Wandberg) Thomson ’98.

The Class of 1993 celebrated their 10-year reunion Friday night at The Vintage in St. Paul. Over 120 graduates registered to come celebrate. The Reunion Committee said, "The idea behind this reunion—the setting, the timing, and the location—is all about ‘coming as you are’ and enjoying a relaxing evening with the people who meant so much to us from 1989 to 1999. It’s about reconnecting with old friends, meeting new ones, and, for some of us, introducing spouses and partners to our St. Olaf classmates."

On Friday night, graduates from the class of 1988 met at the Golden Valley Country Club in Golden Valley. About 70 alumni registered to come for hors d’oeuvres, a cash bar, and "fun background music." The ’88 reunion planning committee included Kari Berge Kilbride, Rob Silas, Cory Larsen, Tracy Adams, Kris Sprenger Anderson, Eric Engwall and Carol Roe Steiger.

The class of 1983 met at the Embassy Suites in Blooming-ton for an Italian dinner on Friday night, with 65 alumni registered to come to the dinner. The Reunion Planning Committee said in the invitation, "Can you believe it? It’s been 20 years since we received our diplomas. Now it’s time to come back to campus, share our memories, and create new ones."

When Saturday rolled around, alumni from all graduating years gathered at the Homecoming Football Game against St. John’s to cheer on the Oles.
