This rumor gave us flashbacks to elementary school, when gym class tumbling mats gave us itchy heads, and cooties were not just an aversion to romance.

Students who did relief work in the South over spring break returned to campus intact, save one student with a mysterious rash. Had nights spent snuggled in sleeping bags on church basement floors given students more tangible mementos than fuzzy recollections of late-night conversations?

Nope. An exterminator was unable to find any traces of bedbugs, according to Pamela McDowell, director of residence life.

Student leaders concurred.

“There was actually only a bedbug scare,” said Ishanaa Rambachan ‘'08, one of the Ole Spring Relief co-coordinators, “but no actual bedbug contamination on the trip.”
