The women's golf team continues its season with spring, hoping to improve on the sixth place team finish this last October. Kate Solheim '09 finished top for the team at 12th overall. The team has more key returners for the spring in Anna Johnson '08 (who finished 23rd at the MIAC championships) and Emily Knutson '07 (who finished in the MIAC championships at 28th). Lizzy Zahn '10 and Alyssa Zuehl '09 tied for a 37th place finish at the MIAC championships.

"“Putting and short game will be the focus this spring,"” said head coach Luke Benoit. “"Last fall we wasted a few too many shots on the short grass.”"

Benoit, a three-time NCAA Division III All-American golfer from Gustavus, signed on as coach last August.

Joining the team are Kim and Kari McClintick '10 and Kelsey Skogland '07.

The team begins over spring break in Georgia facing off against the Savannah College of Art and Design March 30. The Oles return to face Wartburg on April 6 in Iowa and have their first MIAC dual tournament against Gustavus April 12 at the Northfield Golf Club.

Benoit is already praising his team's enthusiasm. "“Everyone is enthusiastic and hard-working which makes coaching fun and rewarding,”" he said. "“I definitely see a good spring ahead of us. Everyone is very excited to get on the course and compete.”"
