The Oles totaled 753 strokes (+185) on the two-day tournament, 92 strokes behind winner Gustavus.
MIAC rival, St. Thomas, finished in a close second. Of the MIAC schools at the event, St. Olaf finished seventh, ahead of only Augsburg and Saint Mary's.
The Oles' top finisher was Lizzy Zahn '10, who placed 20th with a 178 total. Emily Segar '09 finished in a tie for 39th, while Britta Hendrickson '09 tied for 48th.
The Oles have homecoming weekend off to rest up for the MIAC Championship Oct. 6-8 in Coon Rapids, Minn.
"We go into the MIAC tournament just trying to do our best," said Zahn. "We're not really expecting anything other than doing the best we can. We all want to show what we can do because we haven't really yet."
Despite mediocre results thus far, Zahn maintains that the team has the potential to place well as a unit if all the individuals play up to their abilities.
"Everyone is perfectly capable of shooting in the 80s," Zahn said. "We just haven't all done it at the same time."
