Junior Britta Anderson, sophomores Liz Hunt, Stacia Polzin, and Johanna Savage round out the team this season, which actually began for the Oles on Aug. 31 at the Blazer Invitational in St. Cloud. The Ole women placed fourth out of seven teams in this two-day tournament.
They also participated in the Cobber Open and Concordia Invitational this past weekend, both of which were played at Wildflower Golf Club in Detroit Lakes. Schwegler finished 15th overall with a score of 85 at the Open, leading her team to a finish of 11th out of 13 teams and an overall score of 378. She also led the team with a two-round score of 173 at the Invitational where the Oles ended with a total of 743 and finished 15th out of 17 teams.
The Small College Invitational will be the next tournament in which the Ole women play. The two-day event begins Saturday, Sept. 14 at Waseca Lakeside and concludes on Sunday.
The Oles are looking ahead to the final tournament of the season, which will be the St. Olaf Invitational on Sept. 25. This chance to play a home tournament will give them a confidence boost going into the MIAC Conference tournament, which takes place in St. Cloud the following weekend.
