May 13, 2004
Provost and Dean of St. Olaf College James May announced today that Professor of Religion Charles Wilson '69 has been selected as the college's next associate dean for humanities, effective June 1. "Charlie brings impressive credentials to the job as a teacher, scholar and citizen of the college," says May.
Wilson began teaching at St. Olaf in 1973. Since then his academic postings have included serving as senior faculty director and college registrar. In addition to the Religion Department, Wilson has taught in the Paracollege and in the Great Conversation. Other service to St. Olaf includes membership on various college committees and task forces. He led the St. Olaf Term in Asia in 1994-95.
