Students for Reproductive Health (SRHC)

Category: Awareness

Students for Reproductive Health and Choice works on several levels to protect and enhance reproductive rights and health for women. We work to elect pro-choice candidates and connect students and their legislators at both local and national levels to ensure access to reproductive health care and comprehensive sex education, through signing petitions and participating in Pro-Choice Lobby Day. We walk women from their cars to abortion clinic doors, serving as a buffer between women seeking abortions and anti-choice protestors, sometimes being the only people they know who affirm their right to control their own bodies. With the help of the Wellness Center and the Gender and Sexuality Center, we host the Reproductive Health Fair, providing students with information on many topics related to reproductive health, including sex practices and the prevention of pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.

Meetings: Wednesdays, biweekly, at 7:30 PM in the Gender and Sexuality Center.
